I've never had a massage before – what can I expect?
If it's your first massage, you're not alone. Every treatment begins with a relaxed consultation where we'll talk about your health, lifestyle and what you'd like to achieve. We'll explain everything before we begin, answer any questions you may have and ensure you feel comfortable throughout your appointment. There's no pressure to know exactly what you need—that's what we're here for.
I'm not sure which massage to book. Does it matter?
Not at all. You don't need to know the difference between holistic massage, aromatherapy, sports massage, Chinese cupping or manual lymphatic drainage before booking. Simply choose the treatment that feels most appropriate, or get in touch for advice. Following your consultation, we'll recommend and tailor the treatment that's best suited to your individual needs and goals.
Will I need to remove clothing?
Your comfort, privacy and dignity are always our priority. You will never be asked to remove more clothing than you're comfortable with, and only the area being treated needs to be uncovered. You will be professionally draped throughout your massage. Reflexology treatments are carried out fully clothed, with only your feet exposed.
Will the massage be painful?
Massage should never feel unbearable. Some treatments, particularly sports massage or Chinese cupping, can involve deeper techniques that may feel more intense when working on areas of tightness, but the pressure is always adapted to suit your comfort. We encourage you to let us know how the treatment feels at any point, so we can adjust it to your preference.
How do I know if massage is right for me?
